Haig joined atomos in March 2022 and assumed the role of Head of Investments. He has responsibility for overseeing the investment proposition, private client team and investment management function.
Prior to that he was Head of Portfolio Management at 7IM. 7IM is a UK focused asset manager with in excess of £17bn AUM where he also sat on the executive committee.
Before 7IM he ran a boutique wealth management firm called Tcam where he was also CIO. This involved leading a successful MBO of the asset management division of legal firm Turcan Connell where we grew assets from a standstill to in excess of £1bn. This business was sold in 2017 to 7IM.
Haig joined the industry in 1997 working for Turcan Connell after studying economics and statistics at Heriot-Watt University, qualified as an investment manager in 2000 and became CIO in 2009. He also has an Msc in Investment Analysis from Stirling University and holds the CFA charter.
In 2012, he became Chair of the CFA UK Scottish Committee (a position he held until 2015) and in April 2013 was appointed to the Investment Policy Committee for CFA UK, holding the deputy chair position until 2021.
