A Junior ISA (JISA) is a tax-efficient way to save or invest for a child. A parent or guardian can open a JISA for an under-18, and anyone else can contribute, up to £9,000 each tax year. The child named on the account can access the funds at age 18. As well as building a nest egg for a child, your payments into a JISA could reduce the value of your estate so your beneficiaries pay less inheritance tax in the future.
